Sleeping Beauty Coloring Pages

Princess Aurora also known as the Sleeping Beauty, was the only daughter of King Stefan and Queen Leah. Since she was born after many childless years, her christening was a grand affair. Three good fairies were also invited to the gathering. The first two fairies gave the princess the gift of beauty and song. But before Merryweather, the third fairy could give her blessings, a fairy named Maleficent appeared. Merryweather told Maleficent that she was uninvited, irked by the remark, the evil fairy curses the princess that she would die on her sixteenth birthday on pricking her finger on the splinder of a spinning wheel. Merryweather then uses her blessing to alter the curse, that instead of dieing Aurora will fall into a deep sleep, from which she can only awaken by true love’s kiss.
